Sustainability
Masseria D'Erchia carries out, starting from the renovation project, a concept of sustainability that makes our guests feel part of conscious practices, at the center of a project of innovation of thought, respect for nature through energy saving, as shown below. Our team is also an asset for us to value. We want to develop a relationship of collaboration that transmits to them, to us and guests serenity and professionalism.
Water
The gardens are made with native essences, and are irrigated by sustainable sources. Water reserves dating back to 1600 collect rainwater that is used to water. The pool is an ancient water reserve where still visible are the grooves made in the seventeenth century, which served to convey water. Each suite is equipped with bathrooms with separate drainage, and timed in common areas. It is possible for guests to opt for a linen change every 3 days. Each of these actions reduces the waste of water, a vital resource since ancient times.
Energy
The use of magnetic keys allows us to automatically deactivate the systems when the rooms are free. The entire Masseria is illuminated with LED lights with twilight on the outside, and timed in the common areas of internal passage. The appliances in the kitchen are of superior energy class as well as the irrigation and filtration systems of the pool, both able to analyze and dose the consumption in compliance with the need at any time of the year avoiding waste of energy and chemicals.
Sustainable supply
A concept that comes from the past but which proves to be a strong environmental impact is that of "home-made" The raw material purchased for the preparation of meals is km0; we promote local producers, making the most of the territory in its uniqueness and seasonality. Water, soft drinks and yogurt in the minibar and for breakfast, they’re all in glass. In the room as well as in the bathrooms of the common areas, soap and bath/ shower are inserted in refillable dispensers, garbage bags and for the collection of dirty linen are reusable or recyclable, avoiding the waste of plastic. The maceration of pruning residues and lawn mowing allows us to self-produce fertilizer for the gardens, from which the hostess collects every day essences and flowers to be brought as a table center for breakfast for her guests.
